    If you are using SSO/SAML and not sending group membership, and have box configured to remove users from groups, this might be the cause of the issues.

    SSO group settings can be found in the "User Settings" tab of the Admin Console's Enterprise Setting tab.

    " Yesterday, our Engineers released a fix to remediate a bug in our "Remove user from groups upon SSO user login" feature, which is used to remove users from groups not included in the SAML attributes when logging into Box. Prior to this release, if this feature was enabled, users would not be removed from Groups that were not included in their SAML attributes.
     
    Since this update has been released, if "Remove user from groups upon SSO user login" is enabled and the user isn't sending Groups over in the SAML, it is expected behavior that the user is removed from the group on the Box side upon the user's next login."
