Reset MFA

I have an external partner who is not on our Box Enterprise; however, they do have a personal Box Account. They no longer have access to their MFA codes or backup codes. What is the process for clearing their MFA credentials?

To clear MFA credentials for a Box account, the user will need to reset their MFA settings. Here’s the process:
1. Account Settings: If the user has access to their account, they can navigate to their account settings:
- Click on the account icon in the top-right corner of the Box page.
- Select "Account Settings."
- Under the "Authentication" section, click "Remove" next to the MFA method they want to clear.2. Backup Codes: If backup codes were previously generated, they can be used to log in and reset MFA settings. However, since the user no longer has access to these codes, this option may not be viable.
