Question about upgrading and downgrading subscription plan

We are currently using Box with a monthly billing cycle and are considering trying a higher-tier plan to evaluate if it meets our needs.
We would like to know if it is possible to upgrade to a higher plan, and if it turns out not to be suitable, to downgrade again to our current plan—without being locked into a longer commitment or risking data loss.
