    I am currently having this same problem, I've had it for months now—regularly getting the spinning rainbow wheel working in Indesign with actions like changing my tool or trying to select items in a layout. We work on files directly off Box Drive, and I never had an issue before. It used to be like working directly off my own hard drive, smooth and responsive. Not sure what happened or what changed, but the lag in workflow is causing problems with quick turnarounds and the stops/starts are quite frustrating as I work.

    Sadly, my work around is to open BOX on browser, and manually click each cloud next to every linked file so it goes into my hard drive cache. Then open the file and it runs smoother in InDesign. Or you can just wait several minutes evertime you land on a page with link/s that have not been cached to your hard drive.

    And by the way, I'm getting pretty fed up with work-arounds. I've been waiting a year for an answer to why I can't save a pdf out of Indesign directly into BOX>
    Box drive shows the file name and a file size. But when you go to BOX.com the name of the file is there but shows 0B. 
    I have to manually move files from BOX drive to the browser version in order for them to show up for in-house editors or out of house proofers.
