Yes, I agree with this. The current DAV/NAS linux option is not good enough for everyday use.

    Hi Everyone,

    Welcome to the Box Community!

Box Desktop applications currently do not support Linux systems.

If you need to access files from Box, you may login to Box.com from a supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari).

For more information on supported OS and browsers, please take a look at this article:

Thanks for posting and let us know how else we can help!

"Box Desktop applications currently do not support Linux systems."   <=  same story as when I last checked this forum a good couple of years ago.  Absolutely pathetic and the reason I don't recommend clients to Box.   I'l come back and check again in a few years if they've caught up with reality yet.

    Hi Michael,

It is currently not on our road map to support a Linux client for Box desktops apps at this time.

If you would like to support this suggestion, you can add your vote and use case on the comment section in Box Pulse on its impact to your user experience: https://pulse.box.com/forums/909778-help-shape-the-future-of-box?query=linux%20drive

Thanks for following up on this and please let me know if you have any questions!

The lack of Linux support is definitively the single biggest issue with the Box.com service.

    Dear Secretary Baysieshed,

For seamless access to Box from your Linux desktop akin to Dropbox, consider using Box Drive. Download and install the application, login with your Box account, and configure the sync preferences. Choose a local folder for syncing, and Box Drive will automatically synchronize your Box files. This creates a virtual drive on your Linux machine, allowing easy access and edits, mirroring changes locally and on your Box account.
