    Welcome to the Box Community! I'm happy to help.

    If you believe that there are files missing from your Box account, or if you've deleted files by accident, there are a few ways you can recover them. 

    Are you the owner or deleter of this content? When a file is deleted, both the person who deleted the item and the owner of the item will be able to retrieve it from their trash. The Trash is located under Account Settings > Trash-- you can also review this article for more details on this process.

    If you know who deleted or owned this content, please contact this user and instruct them to this link.

    If you still can't find your files, then one of the following might be true:

    • Was the folder a shared folder in which you collaborated with others? If so, the owner of the folder could have removed your access to the content. In this case you’ll need to contact the folder owner and ask to be reinvited.

      • This person will need to re-invite you to the folder using the email address associated with your Box Account.

    So, none of those options are applicable to me. The account is also not synced to my computer.

    I am the sole owner and the only one who has access to this account. I know I didn't delete it, because why would I do it to the most important folder I had, without backing it up first?
    An accident might have happened, but again I don't user that folder that much and I think I would noticed it?

    I do believe that is was an internal issue with the platform, as I observed on other posts complaining about lost files too. Is there a way to recover them with help from Box team? Or are they just unreachable?

    Miss my files :(
