We have released the ability to update user permissions on files in the Box Relay workflow builder - specifically for files on which tasks are assigned.
This avoids potential workflow stalling and streamlines the workflow design by eliminating an explicit collaboration step.
Here are some additional details on this feature:
- By default, any Relay task assignee is added as viewer on the file associated with that task
- Workflow creators can optionally upgrade assignees to editor directly in Relay task outcome in the workflow builder
- Runtime option for Manual Start workflows is supported
- All actions are tracked in activity report
