We are excited to announce that Annotations will soon be generally available. Annotations will allow users to effortlessly review and provide feedback , all within Box , without having to open the file in any other software.
With this release users will be able to
- Easily review content by highlighting and leaving text comment directly within file preview on web
- Mention fellow collaborators so that they are notified of your review comments
- Annotate documents such as PowerPoint, Word, PDF etc
In our subsequent releases we will be adding more capabilities such as
- Support for mobile with Apple pencil support
- Additional annotation types such as highlight text and drawing
- A richer notification experience
