User Details is a new report in the Admin Console > Reports section. This report gives admins visibility into both their managed users and their unmanaged users.
Unmanaged users is a new user type. Unmanaged users are unlicensed users who have a Box account using your enterprise's managed domain, but who aren't actually part of your enterprise. These users may have signed up on their own accord with an email address with your enterprise domain. They roll up into your population of Box users, and until now have not been set apart as unpaid users.
In addition to not taking up a Box seat license, unmanaged users are not subject to company policies. With the release of this new report, admins can easily identify all the unmanaged users in their enterprise, so they can convert them to managed users. This gives admins more control over security and compliance.
Note If these unmanaged users are collaborating on content in your enterprise, they are included as external users and can be discovered via the External Users tab (Admin Console > Users & Groups > External Users tab).
