We're excited to release a significant update to the Grid View feature on the Web – specifically support for additional file types for the rich thumbnails shown in this view. In addition to image and video file types (such as .jpg and .mp4) that already have visual thumbnails, we're adding thumbnail support for additional common document file types. Using Box is now an even more visual and engaging experience.
With this update, you'll begin seeing thumbnails in Grid View for the following additional file types:
- Documents (Word, Google Docs, Pages)
- Presentations (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote)
- Spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers)
- ...and more
