We have recently updated the Box for Slack app to support Slack's org-wide app deployment feature, and have consequently added new scopes. Because of these additional scopes, enterprises that have Require App Approval on in Slack will need to re-approve the Box for Slack app. Until the app is re-approved, new users, or existing users that have logged out, are unable to authenticate into the Box for Slack app.
To allow these users to authenticate into the integration, your enterprise's Slack Admin needs to re-approve the Box for Slack app in Slack. To do this, follow the steps below:
- When you receive a request, open your direct message with Slackbot, or the channel that requests are sent to.
- Review the request. Select Approve for Workspace or Restrict for Workspace. Choosing Restrict for Workspace will prevent all members from requesting or installing the app.
If a request is approved or denied, Slack will update the original request message so all app managers can see the status.
