In order to help our customers ensure the secure and compliant management of all their Box environments in a streamlined and efficient way, we are launching a new feature to enable organizations to link multiple Box tenants using a parent-child relationship.
For organizations with multiple Box environments, whether created for subsidiary organizations, recently acquired companies, or compliance reasons, it can be difficult to ensure that all the environments are holding to the standards of security and access management. Inconsistencies can lead to data breaches, compliance issues, or other complications. The first step towards overcoming this challenge is to establish visibility for the parent organization across all of their Box environments, and Box Multi-EID Management helps you do that. With Multi-EID, you will be able to:
- Establish a parent-child link between two (or more) EIDs within the Admin Console
- View basic account information, including managed & unmanaged user count, add-ons and storage
- Call a new public API to view critical settings including Security, Content & Sharing, User settings, and Shield detection rules/statuses
Going forward, we will continue to further build on this feature to enable capabilities such as allowing a parent to suggest standardized settings for child EIDs. If you have any questions about the feature, or would like to learn more, please reach out through your account team.
