Newly-invited user: "Access expires [in 1 month]" - can't extend
AnsweredI'm our account admin (in a government account); I just invited a new user to the top of a specific folder tree, and when I see her in the list of collaborators, there's a little "clock" image on top of her initials, and clicking on it tells me that her access will expire in one month, and I don't have the authority to extend it. ??? I didn't send her a time-limited link, I just shared the folder. And anyway, in our configuration, if someone DOES send a time-limited link, they can extend it if they want. This is something new. Has anyone else seen this?

Hi Randy,
Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!
Please be advised that only Folder owners may extend the expiration date of any collaborator invited to the folder as mentioned in this article: Managing Collaborators
Since you mentioned that you are an Admin of your Box, if the collaborated folder is owned by one of your managed users, as an admin, you may use the instant login tool in the Admin console to login to the Box account of the folder owner to extend the new user's access.
Hope this information helps. If you have other questions, please let us know and we will help you!
All the Best,

I thought I posted a reply DAYS ago but it isn't showing up. Just to be perfectly clear:
- I AM the folder owner. (I created all the first-level folders in our account, so I show up as the owner of all folders.)
- But that shouldn't matter because this was not a time-limited invitation via a "shared link" -- it was just a normal (permanent) invitation to collaborate in the folder, like we've been doing for years.
- NEW observation today: This temporary access icon is showing up on OTHER users as well, all of whom were invited to one folder or another since around Oct. 21. (That's the earliest date where I've seen it so far.) It seems to be an enterprise-account level problem that all new invitations are time-limited, but I can't find anything in the account-management screens that would control that.
Please escalate this ASAP. I'll email my Box Federal account rep as well, but if it can be answered here that would be best.
Thanks very much.
