Restoring a Previous Folder
AnsweredAfter speaking with the Technical Support department at my current employer today about restoring a folder that was deleted, I was referred to contact Box Support. The reason why is because the Technical Support department at my current employer informed me that the department, I am employed by has an external account they do not have access to. Therefore, I hope that I can receive assistance from Box Support because I am unsure what else I can do to restore one of my department's folders.

Hi Dana,
Welcome to the Box Community! I'm happy to help.
Is the content in your trash? Are you the owner or deleter of this content? When a file is deleted, both the person who deleted the item and the owner of the item will be able to retrieve it from their trash. The Trash is located under Bin-- you can also review this article for more details on this process:
https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196093-Manage-Trash
Box allows you sort and filter items within your trash folder.
You can filter content by Items I deleted and Items I own.
-
The Items I deleted filter will display all items deleted by you, regardless of who created or owns the item.
-
The Items I own filter will display all deleted items that you own, regardless of who deleted the item.
Was the folder a shared folder in which you collaborated with others? In this case you’ll need to contact the folder owner and ask to be re-invited. This person will need to re-invite you to the folder using the email address associated with your Box Account.
Best,
