    Similar issue, I deleted a large tranche of files, but the used storage did not update.  Can this be forced/refreshed?

    I just read the article "Storage Usage Or File Count In My Account Is Incorrect".  Given that was last updated Nov 2020, I suppose we are expected to live with this "bug".  At least I am on a introductory/free account, and will remain so.
