Notifications not received when files are added

I am a "co-owner" of a folder. I have my account settings to have notifications enabled for "Items I've joined" and disabled for "Items I own". I have another collaborator working on that folder. When that user adds a file to my co-owned folder, I am not receiving notifications. Have I set my notifications incorrectly? Should I enable "Items I own" instead of "Items I've joined"?

Co-Owners remain as a collaborator in the folder and allowing "Items I've joined" to trigger email notification should work in this folder you're referring to.
And if you happen to come across an issue receiving email notifications, you might want to check the following:
- Folder-specific level email notifications: When email notifications are applied in Folder Settings, it becomes the default email notification for all files in the folder and subfolders. Please note that you cannot trigger email notifications to yourself for actions you triggered.
- Troubleshooting issues with Email Notifications.
If the issue persist, you may open a ticket and have our Product Support team to assist.
