Limit editing to 'On the Web' only

Is there a way to limit access of a document so that collaborators can only edit on the web version of the app and not 'Keynote for Mac' (for example)

  Welcome to the Box Community!

  There is not currently a way to limit what software-- official desktop vs online application --can be used to open files on a file-by-file basis. 

  Box Edit uses your machine's default program to populate the "open with" drop-down. Theoretically, Box Admins could disable Box Edit for users so the only option they would see would be "Open in the Online version," but that would apply to the entire Box organization and you can't isolate that to a particular file or folder or specific collaborator.

  If this is something you would like to be able to do, I would highly recommend submitting this feature request at pulse.box.com! Our product managers review these requests and take them into consideration for future product development.

  @France Is this answer still accurate? This seems like it would be something that would benefit a lot of box users. Please let me know if there was a feature request open that we can up-vote.
