    Hi there,

    Welcome to the Box Community!

This would be something our Box Support team would like to investigate with you and may require specific account information.

I've gone ahead and created a ticket for you so that an agent can work directly with you on looking into this. Please check your email for details.

    Thanks for your patience!

I’ve been having the same problem on my iPad (iOS 14.3) over the last few weeks. I can share a pdf to BOX from other apps on my iPad but not from Safari now. I’ve always done so in the past. I most often share a pdf from Safari to BOX but now it doesn’t appear in Safari’s share sheet, nor in “more”. It’s also not in the share sheet list to “edit” it to allow it to share. I’ve tried everything suggested in Apple’s forums with no luck.

Maybe you've figured out a workaround, but FWIW I've been saving to the device in downloads, then go to Files app > Downloads and share to Box from there.  (Box is in the Share Sheet there.)

The inconvenience is having to then delete the pdf from Downloads if you don't need to keep it on the device.

Box support told me in email exchange that this is expected behavior.  I believe the reasoning is that support could not find anything in the Box files to indicate this is not expected behavior.

I'm waiting to see if the next iOS update fixes this.

Have you tried the Apple forums? All suggestions there didn’t work for me but did for others, like changing language in Siri. I think it’s an Apple problem. I do a workaround by saving to pdfNotes, upload to BOX, delete file on device. Not time efficient.

No, hadn't looked at Apple support yet.  On your tip, I tried changing the region and language setting.  That didn't work.  On Siri, I have everything to do with it turned off, so I'm not going to mess with that.  Agree it seems like an iOS issue.

EDIT: I looked at the thread on the Apple forums, and I had already tried everything there except the Siri suggestion and changing region and language in Settings > General.  I tried simply closing all apps and doing a power off instead of the soft reset I had tried before.  Also tried another region and language change with another, different language than before.  No change.

The iOS update (to 14.4 from 14.3) did not change anything with this for me.

Ok. The other day I was surprised to see that BOX showed up in the share sheet in Safari when I opened a jpeg and clicked the share icon. BOX never shows up when I’m trying to share a pdf from Safari.

This is 100% a box issue not iOS issue. I have 14.4 on two separate iOS devices one works and one doesn’t, what’s changed is the device it works on is running the BOX 5.2.1 not the newest version. I have submitted video and screenshots to box but they still claim it’s iOS, common practice to pass the blame even proving it’s not. It appears it happen right around the time they dropped iOS 12 support something they did has changed.

I have the same issue.  Prior to upgrade to ios 14 and Box 5.4.1 whenever i would share a pdf from adobe scan  to Box, the icon was available. I could then select Box app and specify which folder to upload to in box. Now  Box is not listed as an app to share to. When i go to more to see if i can add it, the box app is no longer there.  I have searched all over and it all seems to point back to Box version 5.4.1

I already have same (BOX not in share-options) for months on both ipad and iphone.

I use the workaround to open same link in Chrome, then use 'open in' option

at bottom right, which has BOX listed. Standard share options in Chrome also does not show BOX.

Regards, Arnd   ps. language/region setting is German/y

    The function has returned.

Latest version of Box (5.5.0). Updated to iOS 14.4.1 the other day.

We've been having the same issue, now Box is not among the list to be able to get documents on iphone. I don't see where Box support has responded??

Cindy Murdoch Same here.  I hadn't noticed because I haven't been using that feature for a while, but I just tested and it is broken again.  Based on experience I expect this functionality to return at some point with an iOS update.  I'm using iOS 15.3.1 and Box app for iPhone version 5.7.6.

I like to download files through another app and then share it to box. box used to be visible when wanting to share. But it is no longer so. There must be a way around this issue. iPhone only seems to want you to share to iCloud or Dropbox and a few others but BOX is no longer an alternative. BOX must find a way around this asap. Otherwise your clients will look elsewhere.

Christopher Reid This is an issue that comes and goes seemingly with some iOS updates.  The function is there now for me on my iPhone XS with iOS16.0 but it has disappeared and then reappeared for me in the past.

A workaround, not a solution but a temporary alternate, is to shave the item to files, and then share to Box from files.  It is awkward.  I have done this in the past.

EDIT:  An afterthought.  Box is also in Files.  When you share to Files you can navigate to Box and then the folder in Box where you want to save the item.
