    Hi Paul,

    Welcome to the Box Community!

For issues with Box Drive cache (i.e., "folders not showing up"), logging out and logging back in can actually fix it. By doing so, the application will trigger a new command to regenerate your folder tree and it should show any missing content from Box Drive's previous login session.

Reminder when you Logout of Box Drive:

Logging out completely removes all traces of your Drive usage from your machine and enables you to log in again as a new user. Also, when you log out, your Box Drive session ends and the login screen displays. In addition, logging out of Box Drive deletes all of the downloaded content you had marked for offline availability. This of course clears up hard disk space on your device. It also returns to an online-only state all of the content you have marked for offline availability. You will have to repeat the process of marking folders for offline availability.

If the issue persist, I recommend that you open a ticket with our support team by clicking on the “Contact Support” link just above this page to help you further troubleshoot the issue.

    Hi France,

Thanks for your quick response. However, I remembered (I guess the coffee kicked in) when I had this issue before it was because I received the invitation to an email address that was different than my Box account email. The sender has agreed to re-invite me at that address.
However, is there a way I can do a workaround so I don't have to ask the sender to re-invite (for future reference).

That is to say: "What do you do if you're invited via an email different that your Box email?"

    Hi Paul,

Is that email already associated to a different Box account?

If not, you can try adding that email as a Secondary email into your Box account. Once you have successfully added the invited email in your Primary Box as a secondary email, the folder should show up in your folder tree.

Please take a look at this article on how to add a Secondary email to your account: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196513-Manage-Account-Settings#loginandemail
