How do I access folders created by someone who is no longer in the company?

My predecessor left the company before I started my role. His handover notes were in Box. I see this message when I click on the Box link: This shared file or folder link has been removed or is unavailable to you. His email ID has been removed from our systems. How do I restore these files and folders?

If the owner of the link you are trying to access in Box has left the company, there is a possibility that his account has been deactivated/ deleted thus his contents are no longer accessible.
I would suggest reaching out to your admin and let them know of your situation. If his contents were deleted with his account, your admin would have to submit a request to Box product support to see if the account and his contents are still recoverable.
