    Hi Chanda,

    Welcome to the Box Community!

Have you tried to check your Trash in Box.com to see if the deleted files are in there?

You can use the following filters to review your Trash items:

    • The Items I deleted filter displays all items you have deleted, regardless of who created or owns the item.
    • The Items I own filter displays all deleted items you own, regardless of who deleted the item.

If your deleted files are no longer in Box Trash and have been purges, there is a 14-day grace period during which Product Support can recover your content. Beyond this 14-day grace period, however, files or folders purged from your Box trash may not be recoverable and may be lost forever.

To learn more about Managing Box Trash, please take a look at this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196093-Managing-Trash

if you need further assistance, please go ahead and submit a ticket with Box support team by clicking on the “Contact Support” link just above this page.

    Best,

Thank you France, the Items I own filter is what I was missing.

Files in Box were deleted today - 180 days after my work email account terminated due to my retirement. I did not know this would happen because I thought those files were safe since they stayed available for those 180 days after work email ended. I created personal Box account today. Is there anyway to recover lost files that are on Box account under old defunct email personal work email address? I only want to rescue selected files under selected subjects, which have nothing to do with job retired from but were personal research files for a book. Thank you.
