Box Showing 12.7 GB used of 50 GB Yet No Files

My Box account in the browser is showing 12.7 GB Used of 50 GB yet no files when clicking into files.
I'm trying to recover photos from 2009 that have gone missing and will pay to recover these files. At that time I was behind the paywall with Box.com so possibly my files are stored digitally somewhere.
These missing photos have been a sore spot to my memory and would be delighted to learn that possibly there is a path towards recovering these irreplaceable files.
