Moved Everything into Two Top-Level Folders and My "Used" Jumped by 6.5 GB
AnsweredI have 50 GB of allotted Box space. I use this to keep my photo collection, which has around 400 individual folders (different events, collections, and photo downloads from my phone, etc). A few days ago, I was at around 31.9 GB of used space. I then decided to put all of my photo folders into two top-level folders "Folders with Dates" and "Folders Without Dates." However, after moving all of the folders into these two top-level folders, my amount of used space is now 38.4 GB, a difference of 6.5 GB, just from moving files. I was reading a little bit and saw that maybe someone in support can run a script on my account to fix this error? Thanks in advance!

Hi Eric,
Welcome to Box Community and I'm here to help!
We've corrected your storage count. To verify this, log in to box.com> Account Settings> Used Storage. Upon checking, it turns out that one of your owned folder is amounting to 60 GB.
Let us know in this forum if you happen to experience this issue again. https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043695334-Storage-Usage-Or-File-Count-In-My-Account-Is-Incorrect
