Authenticator App Requirement

I have multiple, small storage accounts, the oldest going back to 2012. These are personal storage accounts, not business. I'm unable to log into several of them as I'm presented with the authenticator app password requirement. Is there a way around this so I can access these accounts and get this set up? I don't even know which authenticator app is needed.
Or have I lost access to these accounts and contents permanently?
