An error occurred while creating SSO connection
AnsweredI am a Box partner, and I am trying to setup SSO using Okta as a provider. I have both an older, and current copy of the SSO Metadata XML from my client.
When I originally tried to upload the older version of the metadata, I got the following error:
- An error occurred while creating SSO connection.
Please contact Box User Services.
I reached out to my client and got an updated/more current version of the metadata file, but the option to upload a metadata file is no longer available.
I've extracted the certificate from the metadata, and uploading it per the on page prompts, and it appears to accept the certificate, but then nothing happens. The page doesn't update with the new certificate, and if I refresh the page the error is still there, even if I save first.
Can I get some help with this?

Hi there,
Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist!
Looks like you're setting up SSO for the first time on Box. If you have issue uploading your xml file, can you use the Box SSO Setup Support Form to have Box help you set up SSO?
For more details, you can visit Setting Up Single Sign On(SSO) for your Organization.
Thanks for posting!

Rona the link in the SSO setup UI sent me here (to the support community), not to the Box SSO setup support form. You may want to have your UI folks update that link or provide more guidance.
