Two-step verification not working

Can you please help with the below issue?
We have invited our outside counsel to collaborate on a Box folder.
The log-in requires a 2-step verification via SMS on their side, however they have not received the required 6-digit code.
Can you please advise?

You (and/or whoever didn't receive the 6-digit code) need to reach out to Box to resolve the issue. Box will need to ask the user account specific security questions, so the folder creator will not be able to help.
