Box Drive - Alias or New Window in Mac Os Finder
Hello,
Previously, while using Box Sync on Mac OS, I was able to get quick access to the files by making an alias of the Box Sync folder.
I was also able to set the Finder preferences so that "New Finder Windows Show the Box folder."
However, it looks like neither of these are possible with Box Drive. Is there any way to make an easy shortcut to Box? The only option I've found is to place Box Drive in Launchpad.

Hi Benjamin,
Welcome to the Box Community and thanks for your post in the forum! We do not recommend creating aliases as this is currently not supported. If this is something you would like to be able to do, I would highly recommend submitting this feature request at pulse.box.com! Thank you very much for the response, France. I will post the request in Pulse.
I am very sorry to hear that this feature is not present in Box Drive, and very much regret switching from Box Sync. I believe it is an essential feature, and would have preferred to remain with Box Sync if at all possible.

I don't really understand why Box would disable, or not enable, this feature. Turns out, you can do it really simply.
1) Create an alias of literally any folder or file on your desktop.
2) Command+i click on that file.
3) Click "Select New Original..."
4) Select the file or folder you'd like the alias to direct to, and hit enter.
5) Change the file to whatever you'd like.
Again, it baffles me that this works - seemed too simple, but I've done it thrice now, all successes. The pathways can't be established by making aliases of the files themselves, but by redirecting and renaming any ol' alias file, the same pathways can. Curious... -
Jonthon Coulson - Works perfectly! I cannot thank you enough for providing this solution. You just made my day.
