    Welcome to the Box Community!

    Did you make sure to set the correct "Shared link access"?

    If you want to create a public link, you must set the link access to "People with the link" and your link will be accessible to anyone you share it with.

    If you've made sure to set the proper link access, and still have issues, please go ahead and submit a ticket with our Support team by clicking on the “Contact Support” link just above this page, a support teammate can work directly with you in investigating on this.

    I am having similar problems but only with some external uses.  I have found that there is a difference when you send a Share Invitation from box.com than when you send a shared link in an email.  The Share invitation makes the recipient create an account (if they haven't already) and log in to see the shared folder, and the shared link does not.  It takes them to the folder and the option to Log In/Sign up is in the upper right corner not necessary.  Is this difference intentional?
