I'm sorry to hear about the storage issue you're experiencing. Although I can't run scripts or perform system tasks directly, you can try restarting your device, checking for hidden files, using Disk Cleanup on Windows, or using terminal commands like df -h on Linux to verify disk usage.

Yeah, none of that is the problem. This is a very old bug with your service that doesn't keep track of the actual storage usage. In the past support was able to run a script to recalculate the used space, is that no longer the case?

I feel like this is allowed to happen on purpose as a way to push free users to upgrade. I get it, you're in business to make money, but this is a lousy way to do it.

    Hi Chris,

Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist!

Please note that this activity occurs when the countless activities, combined with the massive scale at which Box supports, makes it incredibly difficult to accurately display aggregated data points throughout our product at all times. If a folder’s storage space calculation is inaccurate due to these issues, the inaccuracies also impact the overall storage calculations for both the user and Enterprise.

If you notice this in your account, most of the time, aggregates will be updated within an hour or less. For larger changes or more complex folder structures, aggregates may take up to 24 hours to be correct.
