NO Response from support or billing - box user for 10+ years!
CompletedI've emailed Support. I've emailed billing. I even called support on my dime because there is no toll free number and been told "we will escalate this to the next level of support" by someone clearly in an overseas call center with no access to any sort of admin tools.
I signed up for a 'free' 50G account *forever* ago and have used about 15G total. Despite having so many other options (iCloud, google drive, etc.) I found Box to be a pretty solid solution and it was my primary cloud storage system. This past weekend, Saturday, March 1, 2025 my account was randomly deactivated and when I go to the 'reactivate' portal it tells me to call in (and so I did). I appreciate that I'm a 'free' user but at least let me delete my account or offer to sell me a subscription rather than just hold my data hostage and not get back to me. At all.
I work in support myself and this is woefully unsatisfactory. No semblance of a response from any support person is brutal and keeping my data in a limbo state is concerning as well.
I created a new account to make this post because, of course, I cannot get into my account.
Someone at box - please help! At least tell me why the account was deactivated!
