Do I need to re-download everything after box changes from "Kernel-based mode" to "File Provider Extension mode"
I noticed that my box folder recently changed from "favorite" to "locations". Did some google and I got to know that box works in two mods on a mac computer.
At the same time, box drive shows that it is syncing files that have previously synced to my computer already.
Does this mean all files synced to my local computer are lost and I've got to re-sync them all, again?
@box please help clarify and if there's a way to bypass this second syncing please do let me know!
Thank you!

Hi Enzo,
Upon checking, this is expected behavior on the recent upgrade you made with your macOS
- Existing Favorites will not be carried forward from kernel-mode to FPE mode, so you'll need to manually re-add Box folders under "Favorites"
More details can be found in this article that addresses the changes you noticed with Box Drive on the new macOS: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/4407737091219-Using-Box-Drive-on-macOS-File-Provider-Extension-FPE-mode
The changes with the overlay icons Box Drive and their indicators is also explained in this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697494-Using-Box-Drive-Basics
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have other questions, and I will do my best to help you.
