box drive --- what happens to files that are downloaded
I am a LONG time box sync user (probably back to pre 2009). With my new macbook purchase, I decided to make the jump to DRIVE.
My largest concern is; where do files / folders "live" once selected / downloaded? Once I've closed the file and saves back to box, the cloud with the down arrow icon is gone -- does this mean the file is permanently stored on my mac's harddrive?
After an unknown amount of time or selection of other files / folders in box drive do the older selected files "regain" their cloud with arrow icon?

Hi Will,
Welcome to the Box Community!
If you have Box Drive in a Mac running macOS 12, you should be able to find "Box" under "Locations" in Finder-- all items in your Box Drive can be accessed in here.
Also, to get better understand how Box Drive works, and what those icons you see in Box Drive indicates, I recommend checking out this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697494-Using-Box-Drive-Basics
