I created a shared link from my account. When the recipient tried to open it they had to sign in to Box. I want them to have the ability to just open and hear the music

I would make sure you are creating a shared link and not just "sharing" a file or folder. If you click 'share' to add someone as a collaborator, they will have to create an account. However, they do not need an account for access via a shared link.

If you are sharing internally to your organization (someone with the same email domain) that would require them to sign in

It was not anyone in my internal organization

I just want to be able to share links to my music files with other professionals

They do not want to sign in...so they are not listening to the music in the links I send

Did you set this to "People In Your Company" thus might be the reason why the receiver is being prompted to sign in to Box?I'd say that you check the helpful information provided in this article.Best,
