new to box, unable to play shared videos on pc, but they play on hone app fine.

    I'm sorry to hear that you are having issue previewing a videos. 

    To confirm, are these Shared videos via a Shared link or were you invited as a collaborator in the those videos? To learn about the difference between using a Shared link and Inviting Collaborator, please check out this article: 

    If these files were shared via a Shared link, you will only be able to preview them from a web browser and if it its owned by a Box user with Business or higher account.

    A Few important reminders when previewing Video files:

    • Video preview is available only to Business level Box accounts, and above. If you use a free or personal Box account, you can still preview video files owned by Business Plus-level accounts and above.
    • You can preview videos up to 3.5 hours in length.
    • Content Preview does not support AVCHD (Advanced Video Coding High Definition). This is a specific video format. It does not refer to all high definition video. Content Preview does support several other high-definition video formats, as listed above.)
