    Hi Clio,

    Welcome to the Box Community!

Have you checked out this article yet? https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043695374-I-Have-More-Users-Than-Seats-Error

This may be relevant to your problem with the next step to take.

If you have a Starter or Business account, seats refer to both internal and external users. Each user you invite into your folders is a collaborator you are paying for. If you are a looking to collaborate with unlimited number of external collaborators, you may upgrade your plan to a Business Plus or Enterprise account, in which seats refer to internal users only and you have unlimited external collaborators so you can add as many as collaborators you want to work with.

If you have any questions, please let us know and we'd be happy to help!

My question is simple - I discovered the same issue (collaborators = seats).  How do I get a list of all internal and external users, and the folders they are attached to.

And please, just answer the question.  There are already enough "pitches" in box to upgrade to a higher license level.

I can limit collaborators IF I CAN GET A LIST OF WHO THEY ARE without going through every single folder and document.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Art,

You can find the list of your internal or what we call "Managed Users" and "External Users" in the Users and Groups menu in the Admin Console.

    1. Log in to your account and navigate to the Admin Console.
    2. Click Users & Groups.
    3. You will see these tabs in this section to determine what type of user are they categorized: Managed Users and External users
    4. If you would like to find out what folders they have been collaborating on, you need to click each of their profile then scroll down to see the folders they are part of.

Thanks for reaching out and please let us know if you have any questions!

    Best,
