Search & delete MS Word temporary files (Windows 10)

When MS Word crashes, it leaves behind temporary files with names starting with "~" (eg ~$ask list.doc). Previous to using Box I could delete these in Windows 10 File Explorer by doing the search: filename:"~*.*" and selecting/deleting all results. However in a Box Drive folder this search only produces results from the immediate folder (not subfolders) and there seems to be no way to bring up the File Explorer search ribbon for more options. Box Drive search doesn't seem to recognize the ~ character and the Box web interface ignores these temp files, so no way to delete them from there. Anyone have ideas/experience on how to bulk delete these orphaned temp files?
