Moving from Open to Closed structure with minimal loss of access by users - tips?
Does anyone know of a way to get a report of all the Folders/Files (with path) that a user has access to?
I've been tasked with doing a complete update of our Box deployment that the company has been using for years. They want to go from Open to Closed with a set folder structure. I want to do that with as little loss of access as possible, but I fear that won't be possible.
I can right click on each user and export their list (waiting for those to generate now...) - but I was curious if anyone else had gone through this process and what steps you took to ensure a smooth migration.

Hi Michael,
Welcome to the Box Community!
Admins may generate "Folders and Files" report which will lists all the content in your Box account. This report contains information such as Owner Name, Owner Login, Path (file path in Box), Path ID (item ID of each item in file path), and many more for each file and folder in your account, or for the folders you selected. You can learn more about running this report in this article:
Since you are planning on changing your account's folder structure, you may want to take a look at this article for some best practices:
Hope it helps. Thanks for your participation in the Community!
