- Create new content blocks: sections, paragraph, call outs, dividers.
- Create, duplicate and delete pages and nested pages.
- Organize the Hub content in sections.
- Move content that is not yet assigned to a section.
- Rename the section and edit its description.
- Delete the section, moving all of its content out of the section.
- Reorder sections and files in them.
- Select how to display files in the Hub: as a grid or as a list.
Content blocks
To add a new content block in your Hub, click the plus icon on the divider line under your Hub description.
A context menu with the following options appears:

When you click the plus button, it changes to text Add Block +.
Choose what kind of content block you wish to use.
To delete an existing block, open the More Options menu on a block level and click Delete Block.
Files and Folders
When you select the Files and Folders option, the Files & Folders picker opens and allows you to drag and drop the content or upload it from Box.

Editing content blocks
In the edit mode, on a block level, you can:
- move a file up and down,
- move a file to a section,
- add more files and folders,
- duplicate a file,
- display files in the content block as grid or as list.
Working with sections
In the edit mode, you can re-order, rename, and delete your sections.

Confirm the deletion.
Hub outline
When you add a section title to your Hub, an outline is created automatically to make browsing the Hub easier.
Adding and deleting pages and nested pages
You can add, delete, and duplicate pages and nested pages (subpages) in your Hub. You can do that while you create a new one or edit an existing hub.
Adding, duplicating, and deleting a page
To add a page:
- Navigate to the Hub Outline.
- Click the Add Page + button.
To add a subpage:
- Hover over the page to display the ellipsis (...) Page Options menu.
- Click Add Nested Page.
To duplicate or delete a page:
- Hover over the page to display the ellipsis (...) Page Options menu.
- Click the Duplicate Page option, or
- Click the Delete Page option.
- A prompt You’re about to delete a page appears. Cancel the action or click Delete to confirm.
Once you delete a page, all the content within it, including blocks and nested pages, gets deleted. This action cannot be reversed.
To give your page a title, click it and replace the default title. The default title format is Untitled Page [yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss].
Changing pages hierarchy
It’s easy to change the hierarchy of your pages if necessary. You can:
- Rearrange the pages hierarchy by dragging and dropping the page up or down.
- Create nested pages by dragging a page and dropping it onto another page.
- Convert nested pages to top-level pages by dragging a subpage into the main page area in the sidebar.
Important
Your home page cannot be rearranged. It is always the highest page in the hierarchy.
Displaying Content Preview
In Hubs, document preview displays in an overlay and appears on top of the Hub. There are two exceptions: Box Notes and Box Canvas files open in a new tab.
