Bandwidth
Bandwidth refers to the amount of data transferred across the Box Service.
Your account uses Bandwidth when folders, files, and other data are downloaded, uploaded, migrated, previewed, moved on or off the Box Service or otherwise accessed in the Box Service. This includes without limitation the use of tools such as Box Shuttle and Box Drive and third party tools not provided by Box.
Box monitors Bandwidth for fair use purposes on an account basis and a shared link basis.
Bandwidth limit
The Box Fair Use Policy defines the current Bandwidth limits for account activity, for shared links, and for API calls, as well as other actions that could excessively burden the Box Service.
The Box Bandwidth limit resets on the first day of each month, unless stated otherwise by email notification or by a message in the admin console.
Exceeding the Box Bandwidth limit may limit or disable uploads and downloads. In some cases, further action may be taken in accordance with the Box Terms of Service, including potential account deactivation.
Bandwidth monitoring and reporting
The Bandwidth Usage by User Report article provides information on how to monitor Bandwidth usage in your organization, and how to generate the Bandwidth Usage by User report.
