What is new about the Box iPad experience?
The file preview screen on iPads now shows the file and related activity (annotations, notifications, and so on) side-by-side when in landscape viewing mode. The information listed in the activity pane and file remain the same. But now they display in a way that makes better use of the larger screen of the iPad.
Can I preview any file type this way?
Not yet. This iPad preview update applies only to documents represented in Box as a PDF. We are adding similar support for previewing Box Notes and images in a future version.
Who can access the new experience, and on what devices?
Anyone who uses Box for iOS or Box for EMM can enjoy this enhanced file preview experience. They just need to run the latest version of the Box for iOS or Box for EMM apps. The new experience automatically displays when you open a file preview on your iPad in landscape mode.
How do I get the new experience?
Simply update your iPad to the latest versions of the Box for iOS and Box for EMM application.
Have any of my files or data been affected by this change?
No. This is a visual change only, and only affecting file previews. It does not affect your underlying content.
What should I do if I find a bug in the new experience?
For additional questions, please submit a request on the Box support site.
