Introducing a new way to stay organized in Box Drive: Introducing the Ability to Hide Files and Folders in Box Drive
You can now hide files and folders to curate what items appear in Finder (Mac) or File Explorer (Windows). Hidden items remain safely in your Box account—preserved and always available from Box.com and searchable from Box Drive. Hiding is personal and device-specific. It does not delete content or change permissions and does not affect your collaborators’ access or view. Declutter your Box Drive without disrupting your team—and get to the content that matters faster.

New Box Drive on Windows with ARM Support
The new version of Box Drive, built on an updated architecture introduced in v2.47 as an opt-in feature, now includes improvements for better stability and bug fixes in v2.48. To use the updated version on a Windows x86 device, you'll still need to opt in manually. However, if you’re on a Windows ARM device, Box Drive automatically runs in the new version without your needing to opt in. Starting with v2.49, this new version will be enabled by default for all Box customers on both x86 and ARM devices.
