We have made several improvements to Box Forms to help form creators address more sophisticated form structures and provide clear guidance to form submitters - improving process efficiency and reducing resubmissions.
Logic Builder Enhancements
Building complex form logic just got a lot easier!
What’s new:
- Rename Logic Blocks: Keep auto-numbering but give blocks custom names for easier identification.
- Bulk Operations: Apply the same operator or outcome to multiple fields at once. Fields in bulk automatically use AND logic, and only relevant operators are shown.
-
Duplicate Logic Blocks: Reuse existing logic blocks and tweak them without starting from scratch.
Static Text Field
Sometimes forms need context, not input. Static Text Fields let Form creators add instructions, disclaimers, or guidance without requiring users to fill anything out. Further, static text fields do not appear in submissions, keeping user data clean.
What’s new:
- Show detailed instructions or context.
- Support text styling (bold, italic, underline) and images.
File Upload Restrictions
Form creators can now restrict which file types users can upload in Box Forms.
What’s new:
- Supported file types: Images, Videos, PDFs, Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Archives
- Set a minimum or maximum number of uploads.
- Restrictions are applied at the field level in the form editor.
How this helps:
- Ensures only supported file types are submitted: Avoids processing errors and ensures the organization can open, review, and use all files efficiently.
- Prevents harmful or irrelevant files: Reduces the risk of noncompliant or unnecessary submissions.
- Set minimum and maximum upload limits: Guarantees all required documents are collected and avoids excess files.
