Over the coming weeks, Box will continue migrating email notification templates from our legacy notification service to the Notifications Platform.
As part of this work, some customers may notice minor updates to the look and wording of certain email notifications. These updates are intended to improve consistency across notification emails and support a more modern, maintainable notification experience over time.
What to expect
As notification templates are migrated, some emails may include:
- A more standardized layout across notification types
- Minor updates to subject lines or email body wording
- Small refinements to call-to-action labels or formatting
These changes are primarily cosmetic and are designed to make notification emails easier to read and more consistent.
What’s not changing
This migration does not change:
- The underlying notification triggers
- Who receives the notifications
- Customer notification settings and preferences
When this will happen
The rollout will begin in the coming days and continue gradually as additional templates are migrated to the Notifications Platform.
For customers with workflow dependencies
Customers who use Box notification emails in downstream workflows should be aware that email formatting and wording may change over time as this migration progresses.
