We're excited to announce that the Box for ServiceNow integration is coming soon. This native, ServiceNow-certified app brings your Box content directly onto the ServiceNow records where work happens. Once available, teams working in IT service management, HR service delivery, customer service, legal, and procurement will be able to view, preview, upload, and share Box files and folders without leaving ServiceNow, with no downloading, re-uploading, or switching between systems.
Any ServiceNow record will be able to get its own Box folder with a single click, mapped across ITSM, HR Service Delivery, CSM, CRM, or any custom module, so the right content is always attached to the right record. Files stay in Box under your existing version control, classification, legal hold, and retention policies. Box remains the source of truth for your content; ServiceNow remains the system of record for your process.
Because this is a certified scoped application published on the ServiceNow Store, there is no custom-coded connector or third-party middleware for your teams to build or maintain as either platform evolves.
Permissions stay under your control
A user's Box permissions govern what they can see through the integration, so no one can access more content through ServiceNow than they are entitled to in Box. Each record's content is isolated to that record, preventing cross-record exposure.
Enterprise-grade security and compliance
Content accessed through the integration stays within Box's security and governance model, backed by Box's encryption and compliance architecture, including support for FINRA, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP.
How to get started:
When it launches, the Box for ServiceNow app will be available on the ServiceNow Store. An administrator will be able to install it into your ServiceNow instance and complete a short setup to connect your Box account and map permissions.
The integration will be available at no additional charge to Box customers on Business plans and above.
