We are excited to announce the launch of the Box AI Agent for Microsoft 365 Copilot, a seamless integration between Copilot and Box, enabling you to fully utilize all the features that Copilot offers while working with your Box files.
Powered by Box AI, the Box AI Agent acts as your personal assistant within Copilot, making it easy to search, analyze, and query content stored in Box. Instantly gain insights, summarize documents, and get answers to your questions without leaving your workflow.
In this initial release, the Box AI Agent supports read-only actions such as search, summarization, and Q&A. We plan to introduce more features and tools as the integration evolves.
The Box AI Agent is available wherever third-party agents are supported, including Copilot Chat, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. This integration is separate from our Box Copilot Connector and serves as our primary Copilot integration. For more information on the Box Copilot Connector, please visit our support page.
Pricing: This integration does not consume additional Box AI units. It is included with all Box Business Plans and works with all Copilot tiers.
Note: If your environment has the Box for Teams integration enabled, end users may see the agent added automatically. To prevent the agent from appearing to users, you can navigate to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and block the agent from the All Agents list. If you can’t find “Box AI Agent,” try searching for “Box for Teams and Copilot.” It’s the same app.
Please Note: If you're having trouble signing in, uninstall and reinstall the agent from the Agent Store.
