Continuous prompts to install Box Tools
Hi
I am encountering the problem discussed here:
https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044195273-Continuous-Prompt-to-Install-Box-Tools
Every time I try to edit using Word on my desktop it says it cannot detect Box tools and I have to reinstall it. It works until the next time my computer reboots then I happens again.
The PC I am using was essentially given to me by my employer once it went out of service for them, so they no longer support it. They had a basic Windows 10 on it and I paid to get the real thing. I cannot figure out from this support link how to fix things. It provides a link near the bottom that doesn't seem to go anywhere

I would appreciate any help on this!

Hi Fahd,
Welcome to the Box Community!
The issue you encounter can happen if your network or computer environment prevents Box.com from communicating with Box Edit. Box Edit uses a loopback network interface to communicate between Box.com and your computer. The use of this interface may require additional configuration in your environment.
The correct link for the broken link you shared above is (https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043695834-Large-Scale-Deployments-Box-Tools)
Please review this article which describes the potential changes you may need to make in your environment. You may need to check with your IT or networking team for further assistance if you are unable to make the changes yourself.
Best,
