    Hi there,

Welcome to Box Community and glad to help!

First, you need to ensure that your folders are syncing:

To check: From your menu bar, located in the upper right    corner of your screen> click the "b" icon> Preferences> Check for  syncing status

Hope it helps! Let me know how it goes.

  • Thanks for the response - Yep they are syncing. I can see them in my Box sync if I look for them by exact name, so they are synced.  If I go into Box online and check, they are listed as synced.  (I am having trouble syncing 1 new folder but that's a whole other issue). It seems very random - some days things show up, other times they don't.

    Hi there,

    Good day!

At this point, we strongly recommend switching to Box Drive.

We firmly suggest for this change in your environment as Box Drive is the current Box desktop experience, does not require manual syncing (though this is available through the mark for offline option), and the issue you're experiencing is likely to be resolved straight away after installation.

By installing Box Drive from this link Box Sync will be automatically uninstalled, and any files that had not synced up to Box will be preserved in your old Box Sync folder.

This article explains the difference between Sync and Drive: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697354-Switching-from-Box-Sync-to-Box-Drive

This article goes into a little more detail about Box Drive and its basic functionality: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697494

    Hope it helps!

  • Thank you for your response.  Every question I ask in Box gets the same response: switch to Box Drive. However, looking through the Box support questions, I see many questions and problems with Box Drive so I'm not convinced it is the solution (perhaps especially for mac users).
