Finding files in Box Sync Mac OS Monterey
AnsweredOften when I look through folders in Box sync, it shows them as empty when I know there are files in there. If I search for the files I want with the exact name, I can find it. But that's not helpful when I want to see everything in that folder or don't know the exact name. Any ideas to solve this or does Box sync just not work well with Mac?

Hi there,
Welcome to Box Community and glad to help!
First, you need to ensure that your folders are syncing:
- Are you experiencing this in the Box website as well?
- Did you marked this folder to sync?
- Please check the status of your Box Sync application and make sure it's synced:
To check: From your menu bar, located in the upper right corner of your screen> click the "b" icon> Preferences> Check for syncing status
Hope it helps! Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the response - Yep they are syncing. I can see them in my Box sync if I look for them by exact name, so they are synced. If I go into Box online and check, they are listed as synced. (I am having trouble syncing 1 new folder but that's a whole other issue). It seems very random - some days things show up, other times they don't.

Hi there,
Good day!
At this point, we strongly recommend switching to Box Drive.
We firmly suggest for this change in your environment as Box Drive is the current Box desktop experience, does not require manual syncing (though this is available through the mark for offline option), and the issue you're experiencing is likely to be resolved straight away after installation.
By installing Box Drive from this link Box Sync will be automatically uninstalled, and any files that had not synced up to Box will be preserved in your old Box Sync folder.
