Multiple users save capability
We have multiple users and when in the Excel document (without locking function) the document sometimes saves to desktop which causes duplicate documents in the box file. What do we need to do so that box can save one document and one doesn't have to transfer data from the desktop saved version into into one saved in the box document?

Hi Brian,
Welcome to the Box Community and thanks for your post in the forum!Simultaneous editing using your Microsoft excel local app is currently not supported.
If you have multiple users editing a file at the same time, it is best practice to have one user make their changes with file locked. Once changes are saved and file is closed by user, another user will then see those changes and be able to open and make their changes.
Here are some reference articles that may help:
If you need that ability to edit a file concurrently with other users, you can use Office online instead as it supports real-time co-authoring: Box and Office Online
I hope this helps!
Best,France

I have this same problem, but it sounds like locking wouldn't work because ~ten coworkers need to be able to access/edit the document daily WITHOUT EVER creating duplicates. This seems a lot more like a bug than a feature. I have essentially just lost hours of work because I have five duplicate documents with no way of knowing how to combine them or where they are different. How can a document be set to having only one editing user at a time?
