    Hi Neil,

    Welcome to the Box Community!

What you experienced here in expected for Personal lite users. Personal users can see 1 version of the file (which is the current version) and cannot access version history as it's available to paid accounts.

For more details, please take a look at this article : Accessing Version History

Thanks for your participation in the forum and let us know how else we can help!

    Hi France,

I also have this error message trying to access version history with Personal Free Box.com. You say this is not available with the Personal Free version but Box.com advertises that it IS available.
Go to the following Box.com page which advertises the Personal Free version: https://www.box.com/personal
Down below you'll find the following under "What you get with your free account"
Free cloud storage and file sharing
Store and share any file of any size, and access it whenever and wherever you need to. Plus, keep track of edits with full version history. With Box, it's easy to power secure remote work.

This error should be reported as a bug or Box.com needs to remove this advertising from it's Personal Free version and state that it's not available.

    Regards,
    Russell Lawry

France, by Personal Lite I assume you mean Personal Free.
One version of the file implies one previous version, not the current version - this is misleading.
Also, the message when trying to access previous versions should say, "version history not available in Personal Free", not " File Server error".
    Regards
    Neil
